Getting Around Harrogate & District
The great thing about visiting the Harrogate District is how such a great collection of places to visit are situated so close to one another, making the trip between any two of our city, towns and villages quick and convenient.
The rural nature of our district means the journey between one spot and another, is often half the treat as you cross the beautiful countryside, cross valleys and rise up over the hills.
Add to this the ability to leave the car behind and will find you are free to look around you as you make the journey and take in the landscape, the buildings and scenery as you make your journey.

One such bus routes is the No. 24, known as the ‘Nidderdale Branch’ to Pateley Bridge which takes an idyllic route along the River Nidd into Nidderdale loosely following the old railway line, and stopping in the pretty villages that line the length of the Valley as it turns from rolling hills to steep fells and moorland.
Dependable Taxi services
Local taxi and private hire cars offer competitive rates for the longer rural journeys, and Ripon and Harrogate drivers have fixed rates for the regularly requested destinations such as Ripon Races, and Leeds Bradford Airport.
Our taxi drivers are reliable, and pride themselves on quality of service and good customer service.
If you are looking to combine the convenience of private hirer with a guided tour our blue badge guides offer both predesigned package and custom built days out taking some of the sights around this part of Yorkshire.
With spectacular views and constantly changing landscape you will find there’s always something to see as you travel about Harrogate District.
