Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Holiday Cottages
After a good walk, a family day out, an evening stroll, or a day’s exploring, you can head back to your very own home-from-home here on the beautiful Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal estate.
You’ll be able to enjoy free entry to the estate during your stay so you can explore at your leisure.
You’ll be just a short walk from the ruins of a twelfth-century Cistercian abbey, Georgian water garden and medieval deer park with footpaths and walks to enjoy whatever the season.
Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Holiday Cottages also makes the ideal base for discovering the Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale’s designated Area of Outstanding Beauty, historic Ripon just 4 miles away, and slightly further afield York and the North Yorkshire Moors.
Perfect for romantic retreats, getting together and getting away from it all, our cottages sleep between two and ten people and prices start from £235 for 3 nights/£335 for 7 nights.
You can even pre-book home cooked food from the estate’s visitor restaurant ready for you to pop in the oven.

The Boot Room
In the far corner of Studley Royal deer park, The Boot Room is our newest hideaway. Once used as part of an outbuilding by the estate gamekeepers, it has been converted into a compact holiday cottage. Inside, the cottage has been designed for practical comfort with a basic kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Its location on Fountains Estate makes it the perfect base for two people on a walking break.
Standing proud in the heart of the deer park, this impressive Burges masterpiece with its sumptuous interiors makes for a really special stay.
Inside the elegant 16th century Hall, our two stylish apartments have wonderful views across the Skell valley.
