Helme Pasture comprises south facing farmhouse cottages and lodges overlooking wonderful views of the Yorkshire Dales and in a superb location surrounded by mature woodland.
Local attractions such as Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle are just a short drive away. Many well-known walking and cycling routes are close by e.g. Nidderdale Way, Tour de Yorkshire route 2016 and Tour de France route 2014. However, if you bring your bike or walking boots there are endless possibilities to choose from.
New for 2017, we have an under lodge bike storage area (with secure locking points) and rain water harvested washing facilities for up to 10 bikes. Several bike hire outlets close by, where you can hire whatever you desire, including electric bikes!
The Cottages and Lodges:
The Byre is on the ground floor of the converted farmhouse. There is a double bedroom and an open plan sitting room with additional sleeping if required along with an integral kitchen/dining area. The bathroom is at the top of a small flight of stairs.
The Studio is also on the ground floor of the converted farmhouse and is a simple cottage comprising of a double room containing all the essentials needed and an adjoining bathroom. This is often used as an overflow room when a large group of people stay in the Scandinavian Lodges, but is also ideal for anyone wanting a simple base to come back to after a long day exploring the surrounding towns and countryside.
The two Scandinavian lodges are individually designed buildings, but under one roof. These are normally used as two separate and fully equipped lodges, but can be opened up via double adjoining doors to maximise space when needed. However you choose to use these, they are ideal for couples or larger groups who are looking for the peace and tranquillity of the woodland surroundings together with every modern comfort.
These lodges (graded four star by Visit England) and are distinctive in design and size with spacious, open-plan living rooms, fully equipped modern kitchens, bathrooms as well as showers. The lodges are double-glazed and well insulated for year-round comfort; after all, they were built for arctic conditions.
Each lodge has its own car parking at the rear. They are on one level with wheelchair access, permitting those with walking difficulties to enjoy the birds and wildlife from the comfort of the lodge. The adaptability of these lodges allows for up to 10 people to sleep in comfort.
All of these cottages and lodges are available for short breaks or longer stays, with the arrival and departure days normally Mondays and Fridays.
Full breakdown of prices is available on the Helme Pasture website.
Please Note: Only the lodges have a Visit England Quality and Mobility rating
