The Wheelhouse is a unique Bed and Breakfast property. It is a newly converted ground ﬂoor room featuring exposed roof beams, vaulted ceilings and its own access. The large circular centrally heated bedroom has a king sized bed, two easy chairs, free WiFi, TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities, table top fridge, hairdryer and a dressing table with stool. There is also a dining table and 4 chairs for breakfast or guests are welcome to eat in the dining area of the main barn itself. This is ideal for families staying in The Wheelhouse.
The en-suite bathroom has a large double shower, heated towel rail and shaver point. it also has a large window giving plenty of natural light. We have folding beds suitable for children, plus a travel cot, which The Wheelhouse can accommodate with ease, making this accommodation ideal for families.
Guests are free to choose what time they would like breakfast. Wherever possible we use local suppliers and the chickens that you will see wandering on the village green opposite provide us with the free range eggs.
The south facing courtyard garden with lawns, raised fruit, flower and vegetable beds and seating areas including a table, chairs and parasol together with sun Ioungers is available for guests' use.
Situated within the Nidderdale AONB, Holme Grange Farm is a small, tidy working farm. Guests are welcome to wander around the farm, making friends with the animals which include sheep, cattle, pigs, donkeys, ducks, geese and chickens. At lambing time guests are welcome to come and bottle feed the lambs.
We are in the heart of the village of Galphay, opposite the village green - a minute’s walk away from the village pub serving lunchtime and evening meals at reasonable prices.
We are close to Fountains Abbey World Heritage Site, the market town of Ripon, Masham, Harrogate, Knaresborough, York and the Yorkshire Dales.
