Roseberry Cottage is a family run boutique bed and breakfast in a quiet rural location in Lower Nidderdale, just 15 minutes drive from Harrogate and Ripon town centres.
Our proterty combines antique furniture, modern bathrooms, stone floors, natural wool carpets and throws to offer you luxurious and high quality surroundings. We are very well situated for easy reach of a number of North Yorkshire’s many attractions just six miles from both Harrogate and Ripon.
Roseberry Cottage is a Georgian property surrounded by farmland. We have converted a barn in our grounds to offer guests luxurious and contemporary bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms.
Two miles from the charming village of Ripley and its castle, where the Tour de France cycle route passed by in 2014. The typical Dales town of Pateley Bridge is just eight miles away. We are also a fifteen minute drive from RHS Harlow Carr, NT Brimham Rocks and NT Fountain’s Abbey. The A1 motorway is a 20-25 minute drive.
Our newly converted barn is set in a young orchard, planted with apple, pear, plum, greengage and damson trees. Set amongst wild flowers and long grass. Our rooms have been designed with the beautiful local area in mind, celebrating both colour and texture from the environment, natural wool carpets and throws all echoing the colours of our local heather and moor land.
Our modern bathrooms boast free standing baths and large walk in showers, fluffy towels, dressing gowns and slippers as well as complimentary toiletries.
Our bed linen is all 600TC Egyptian cotton, both bedrooms have a hairdryer, flat screen television and a Pure digital radio, through which you can stream your own music from your device. We do also have free Wifi, however, the signal is variable.
Our vision was to create a luxurious, peaceful and private environment for our guests to come and enjoy all that this area of North Yorkshire has to offer.
Guests have their own private entrance and parking for their accommodation, as well as a terrace and fire pit. Breakfast is served in the dining area of the barn, where there are also facilities to make drinks, we stock the fridge with fresh milk for your use.
We invite our guests to sit down together for breakfast at a communal table, however, if you would prefer your privacy a continental breakfast tray can be brought to your room.
For breakfast we serve eggs from local free range chickens. The bread, granola, muesli and preserves are primarily made in house. The sausages, bacon, black pudding and smoked fish are all sourced from some of our wonderful local artisan producers.
We aim to bridge the gap between the sometimes impersonal environment of a high end hotel and the traditional B&B. To that ends, we offer you the luxury and comfort we have all come to expect when we stay in a good hotel, but with the smaller and more relaxed environment of a bed and breakfast, with attention to detail and personal service.
We also have a small gift shop in the office, where we sell some of the products you will have experienced during your stay. We aim to sell high quality products, mostly sourced from local producers.
