Deliciously Harrogate

Food has always been important to the district of Harrogate. We are famous for our tea rooms and our love of afternoon tea, often taken between promenades through our lovely gardens or as a break from boutique shopping. The district is reputedly home to the oldest sweet shop in the world and Harrogate toffee is said to have been invented to take away the taste of the sulphurous waters given as a Victorian cure for certain ailments.

Are you looking for something to tempt your taste buds during your stay in the Harrogate district? Why not tour a gin distillery, perfect your own choice of botanicals, relax at a Yorkshire vineyard or take a guided taste sensation trip around the independent eateries?
