Starling Independent Beer and Coffee House to Welcome the World, of Cycling

Starling Independent Bar Café Kitchen welcomes the world of cycling as the Community Hub for Rapha, Canyon and Wahoo for the World Championships.

This distinctive and popular Harrogate independent bar & coffee shop, now in its third year, will become the hub of daily events and activities for international bike brands Rapha and Canyon for the duration championships.  There will be daily ride outs and chance to meet the pros at various events throughout the 10 days, plus opening and closing parties.

Live coverage of every race will be shown on the first floor alongside the usual choice of freshly prepared brunch dishes and pizza, top quality specialist coffee and a full bar including 16 draft beers and 30+ gins. Canyon are also converting the back yard to a bike park if you’re heading in to Harrogate on 2 wheels.

Since their launch 15 years ago, Rapha have become one of the most prestigious names in cycle clothing.  The team from Rapha will be sharing their story and chatting to visitors about the plans for 2020 as well as show casing their newest gear.

Canyon works hand-in-hand with the best athletes on the planet to produce an array of award-winning bikes that embody a pure passion for riding. With a strong reputation for true innovation, implementing leading technologies, clean and clear design as well as the highest standards in quality and service, Canyon continues to expand worldwide.

Sports technology brand Wahoo will also be at Starlings to demonstrate their range of fitness sensors and equipment.

Managing Director of Starling, Simon Midgley told us he was delighted to bringing such an expensive cycling presence to his business.

“Securing the opportunity to be embedded within such a great Harrogate event was a key business goal for 2019 for us. The opportunity for Harrogate and its businesses is massive. It is vital we make the most of that and give a big Yorkshire welcome to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who will arrive in Harrogate in late September.

"We want them to leave wanting to tell everyone what a great time they had in this beautiful Yorkshire town of ours so that they and their friends will come back to visit again soon.”

The Rapha Canyon Community hub at Starling IBCH will be open for the entire duration of the World Championships!
