Black Sheep Brewery & Tours
Experience Black Sheep beer at the source with a tour of the Black Sheep Brewery Visitor Centre in Masham - the home of beer in North Yorkshire - for an unforgettable day out.
Join us on a brewery tour, available throughout the week, giving you the chance to see (and smell!) the magic unfold with your very own eyes. Our tours take you on a journey from the start of Black Sheep’s story to the present day. Then, get up close and personal with our process and learn how we make our eclectic range of beers, shepherded by one of our knowledgeable tour guides. Of course you’ll want to taste some of these beers, which can be done following the tour with a free beer flight!
Whilst you’re here, you can grab a table for some home cooked pub classics, and stop by our Sheepy Shop for gifts, merchandise and beer to take home.
About Black Sheep
Black Sheep Brewery was established in 1992 by Paul Theakston when the brewery run by his family for a number of generations was sold to a national brewery. Paul, the 'Black Sheep' of the family, set up his own brewery in the same town, Masham, to brew the highest quality beer.
Three decades on, Black Sheep Brewery has become an iconic Yorkshire brand, known for its quality beers across the nation and overseas. Along with famous beers, Black Sheep Ale and Best Bitter, the brewers continually innovate, and we now offer a huge variety of cask ales, craft beers, lagers and ciders.
