HARR Gallery Dog F Dalmation

Whatever you are looking for you will find the perfect place for you and your dog to stay where you can keep them with you, not locked up where you cannot see or be with them.

Many of our providers will also have facilities such as a paw wash area, water bowls, a stock of treats, and enclosed garden areas (for you to let the dog out with peace of mind).  Whether it's a hotel, an apartment or a cottage, there is a place for your dog when you visit the Harrogate area.

The staff will be able to advise you on great local dog walks and may be able to suggest places where you can let your dog off the lead to burn off some energy.

Dogs love new places just like us. For them, they are a tantalising new world with new smells, new sites and completely new things to discover. This can make the holiday as much of a treat for them as it is for you.

Dog’s Away Case

OK, let’s not drift into treating dogs like people with their own hats and luggage, but a dedicated away case (be it an old rucksack or just a sturdy Bag-For-Life) is a good way of making sure you take all your dog needs with you when you go away.

Here’s what you might want to include:
• A dog bowl
• Dog food measure
• Spare lead
• Dog drying jacket (half towel, half coat – a worthwhile investment for an outdoor holiday in the UK with a long-haired dog)
• Treats & chews (packed in sealed bags so they don’t spoil)
• A couple of indoor toys, and some tennis balls (or your dog's preferred equivalent)
• A fold-out or collapsible water bowl so you can keep your dog hydrated on long walks.
• A sturdy 1 or 2ltr bottle to take water with you on long walks
• Pack of poo bags

Once your dog’s away case is done, all you need to do is pack enough dog food for the length of your break (plus a bit more – just in case) and throw your dog's favourite bed in the car and you are good to go!
