Fishpond wood
Fishpond wood in Bewerley is a quiet and idyllic landscaped woodland, with a rolling profile and a large lake that is home to a range of bird and water life.
Recently restored, the woods show the best of the Yorkshire seasons, with blue bells and wild garlic in the spring, dappled sun in the summer and a bright range of ochre hues in the autumn.
Fishpond Wood is best enjoyed in a late summer evening or early in the morning when the quiet visitor is likely to do see deer or a heron by the lake.
The wood features on the Bewerley Tree Trail walk from Pateley Bridge where there is ample convenient parking, as well as a range of shops and cafés.
The wood is dog friendly, but due to the abundant wildlife dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
