We are a new rural restaurant in lower Dunsforth. A picture postcard village with a very supportive local community. Coronavirus update - we will be offering a delivery service while the restaurant is closed. We are a couple, Georgina Welburn and Amelia Gordon – two chefs but Georgina takes control of the kitchen and Amelia FOH for the time being! G has been head chef at The Timble Inn, gaining 2 rosettes and Amelia owns a luxury hotel in Spain – Casa la Siesta, so we bring many years of experience in the industry to our new joint venture. Our ethos is to create a home from home atmosphere. To feel as if you’re going to a friends’ house for a meal – and your friend just happens to be a great chef! Our menu changes every 3 weeks or so which means our food is incredibly seasonal and fresh. It also allows us to showcase so many more ingredients and styles that are rarely found in rural restaurants. We use lamb and pork raised in the village and neighbours frequently leave baskets of apples and other such goodies on the door step. We have a lot of GF food, Vegan, low carb and light dishes on the menu and whilst we have a main all-day menu we also offer brunch, small plates, bar snacks and sandwiches and salads to run alongside it. The Style we have created a white washed, Scandi style, garden room with hanging plants and encaustic tiles. Amelia is also 1 half of interiors company Bert & May. Our dishes offer an all-day menu with courses that can be starter or main course sized. Some of the dishes we create are ceviche, steamed dumplings, Iberian pork, clams with sherry, slow cooked beef and merguez chilli..etc. We open – Wednesdayto Friday, from 10am – close.
