Manor House Farm Caravan Park
The site is situated in an area of outstanding beauty in Nidderdale, being 12 miles from Harrogate and 5 miles from Pateley Bridge.
It is a working farm, predominantly sheep. There is an abundance of wildlife both on the site and on the banks of the River Nidd, which is close by.
Consequently dogs are permitted only by prior arrangement and owners must act responsibly.
The terraced site is set in beautiful surroundings and is well situated for walkers. A number of walks can be accessed from the site including the Nidderdale Way. The stepping stones near the site on the River Nidd give a wonderful play area for children, upstream being slow moving and shallow, ideal for dinghies and for generally messing about on the river.
There is no shop on site, but our local village of Summerbridge, some 2 miles away towards Pateley Bridge on the B6165, has an excellent butchers, post office, village shop, fish and chip shop, tearooms and a garage. Diesel and petrol are also sold at the ironmongers and agricultural merchants.
In the next village of Dacre Banks there is a doctors’ surgery and dentist. A walk along the riverside brings you to Max Pullen’s playing fields in Dacre Banks, with tennis courts, bowling green and children’s recreational area. Cricket matches are played most weekends in season.
Good local pubs, serving food, are within easy walking distance.
On the site there are static caravans that are owner occupied, touring pitches that can be seasonal or short term, and camping facilities.
There are BBQ facilities on the camping site with a paved area and picnic tables. Due to the wooded site, only gas BBQs are permitted on the caravan site.
The caravan site is ideally suited to couples who enjoy walking and a peaceful setting.Read more
