Christmas at Mother Shipton's
Santa is flying here to see you! Let the twinkling lights draw you into the wonder of Mother Shipton’s magical, memory-making Christmas experience.
Wander through the gorgeous winter woodland to see the enchanted Christmas Village, festooned with festive delights and merry displays to marvel at along the way.
Chief Elf Chestnut will be delighted to meet you and lead you to see Santa Claus. The excitement of Christmas starts here; Santa will be keeping warm in his cosy grotto, and you can come along to say hello or take an ‘Elfie with the big man himself! To keep Santa safe, we will be adhering to social distancing but visitors will be able to see and speak to him before he sets off on his long journey. If you would like your child to receive a gift, you can purchase an optional add-on soft toy to receive from Santa’s Elf Helper. Choose from an 18cm Eco Soft Toy Polar Bear made from recycled plastic bottles (£7.50) or a Deluxe Super Soft 25cm Husky Soft Toy (£9.95).
There’s something for the whole family at Mother Shipton’s this Christmas. Take a photo inside Santa's beautiful sleigh and sit upon the magical Christmas throne, then visit the Elf Mail Post Office to stamp and post your letters to Santa.
Our jolly elves will be working hard around the attraction, from welcoming visitors, to serving hot drinks from our vintage style coffee van. Our toilets are open, and we have picnic benches throughout the attraction.
You can also venture deeper into the woodland to visit the incredible Petrifying Well and see the Cave where the famous prophetess Mother Shipton was born. Make a Christmas wish in the Wishing Well or hammer a coin into our Wishing Logs as you explore the historic site. See petrified celebrity items in our museum and browse our Gift Shop for an array of wonderful gifts, stocking fillers and decorations.
Dogs are welcome everywhere except the adventure playground and must be kept on a lead at all times.
Please note that although the middle of the attraction (picnic areas, Adventure Playground, trail area, woodland) is accessible for pushchairs, beyond this there is no access for wheelchairs, mobility scooters or pushchairs to the Cave, Well and Museum/Gift Shop due to the steps and gravelled ground. We recommend bringing a sling for little ones and parking pushchairs under the shelter provided. The attraction is not suitable for people with impaired mobility. The elves suggest wearing sturdy footwear and waterproofs. Access to the adventure playground, cave and well is subject to weather conditions.
Tickets for Christmas at Mother Shipton’s can be purchased ONLINE ONLY for selected dates through November and December.
