To mark the 70th Anniversary of the dedication of the Air Force plot of war graves at Stonefall Cemetery, join us for a free guided tour.

July 8th – 11th, Tours at 1030, 1130, 1230, 1330. Restricted number - places must be booked in advance.

Stonefall Cemetery is one of the largest CWGC sites in the North of England with just over 1000 graves. Nearly all of the casualties are airmen from the Second World War, with over two-thirds belonging to the Canadian forces. Join us for a walk around the cemetery to learn about the work of the CWGC and the stories of some of those buried at Stonefall. The tours will also feature details of the dedication ceremony which took place in July 1951.

Please note: The starting point for the tour is in front of the Crematorium - please be mindful that on weekdays cremations and funerals might be taking place. Please come dressed for the weather. The tour involves walking on grass as well as paths. You can park within the cemetery and there is a public toilet.

All places must be booked in advance:
