To mark International Women's Day, join us for a guided tour of the war graves of the females commemorated at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate. With over 1000 Commonwealth War Graves, Stonefall Cemetery is one of the largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission sites in the North of England. Nearly all of the casualties are airmen from the Second World War but six women are commemorated at the site too. To mark International Women's Day, join us for a walk around the cemetery to learn about the work of the CWGC and the stories of the six service women commemorated at Stonefall. These casualties include women who served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, Women's Auxiliary Air Force and the Territorial Army Nursing Service.Tours will run on the 5th, 6th and 8th March.
