What did inmates do with their leisure time in the Workhouse and were they able to enjoy themselves?Our family activities this May half term will be focused on the theme of entertainment in the Workhouse to coincide with a small exhibition opening on Saturday 28 May titled Workhouse Entertainment: Paupers and Philanthropists.Join us between Monday 30 May and Friday 3 June between 12pm – 3pm at the Workhouse Museum for baking and craft activities!The Workhouse Museum & Garden opens at 10am and the Prison & Police Museum opens at 11am during school holidays. Our Museum tickets are valid for 12 months with unlimited return visits.
