Half Term Events around Harrogate District

There’s plenty to entertain the kids and keep the whole family happy this half term in Harrogate and the surrounding district. It’s the perfect opportunity to get out and about, continue the path of learning and discovery and have some fun along the way.

You’ll find many of the large attractions in the District running special themed half term weeks with ‘hands on’ activities for kids of all ages - there’s just so much going on!

Explore Outdoors

Head outdoors and become a nature detective for the day - go hunting for bugs, test your raft building skills and discover what lives in a pond.

Find out all there is to know about gardening and how to make the most of the plants, flowers and wildlife at this wonderful time of year, clearly the big kids amongst you can learn a thing or too as well!

Get active in Nidderdale, walk or cycle, canoe or climb, there are so many ways to discover this incredible AONB - Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – your half term outdoor adventure awaits!

If the weather’s not so hot and you’d prefer to stay indoors then why not get crafty? There are lots of opportunities to make some creative crafts to take home.

Become a historian, discover the fascinating facts and uncover the amazing stories how some of our most iconic buildings came to be! Dress up as a Victorian, make a bug box or even join the flea circus, there are so many wild and wonderful things to keep you entertained.

But if you just want to sit back, relax and have fun then make sure you book a ticket for one of the many wonderful family shows at the theatre.
