Knaresborough is celebrating the Platinum Jubilee with three days of entertainment.

The town is bedecked with flags and bunting. Shop displays have a Jubilee theme and people are encouraged to dress in 1950s clothes.

Thursday 2nd:

The Mayor of Knaresborough will light a beacon in the grounds of Knaresborough Castle as part of the jubilee celebrations on the castle top, Entertainment from 11.00am with a big screen showing of the jubilee concert from 7.00pm

Friday 3rd:

A Tea Dance is being held on Friday afternoon 3rd June 1-4pm at the Knaresborough Community Centre. Free event,  Telephone: 01423 862702

Saturday 4th:

10am-11am: Union Jack flag-making workshop at Gracious Street Methodist Church from 10am to 11am. Free event with materials provided.

11.30am: Flag procession from the Market Place led by the Town Crier to the grounds of Knaresborough House for the Jubilee Garden Party which opens at noon with musicians and entertainments.
