Lunchtime Piano Recital with Sonya Gulyak
The Russian-born pianist was the first woman to win the Leeds Piano Competition in 2009. Since then she has built up an international reputation. She returns today for the third time to the Wesley Centre Concerts when she will play:
Clara Schumann - Variations on a Theme by Robert Schumann op.20;
Mendelssohn - Rondo-capriccioso op.14;
Rachmaninov - Five Morceaux de Fantasie op.3: Elegie, Prelude, Melody, Polichinelle, and Serenade;
Mussorgsky - 'Pictures at an Exhibition'.
