We pride ourselves on timeless hospitality and traditional British pub food along with our 8 - 16 cask ales for which we are Cask Marque accredited and extensive gin range. Our beautiful pub is steeped in history and offers a warm welcome, and a bright and comforatable space to relax and enjoy.
The Alexandra looks out over the famous Harrogate Stray and nearby gardens, is located just on the edge of the town centre and is dog friendly, making it an ideal place to stop for a drink or lunch or more when visiting Harrogate for any reason.
Our delicious menu means you can join us for lunch or dinner and enjoy great yorkshire food and ale all through the week.
This impressive building dates back to 1840 when it was known as The Albion Hotel and re-named as The Alexandra in 1899. The hotel was requisitioned to house the ground squad of the RAF during the war. Original propaganda posters that still exist in the old hotel can be seen in our pub.The Alexandra Pub is a short stroll from the train station.
Private Space for meetings in comfort
Our private dining room is the perfect setting to hold your business meeting. Complimentary WiFi, TV screen with HDMI cable, flipchart and pens are all provided as well as bottled mineral water, pastries on arrival, tea and coffee, sweets and a light buffet lunch.
We also cater for a range of events and functions. Our private room is the perfect setting for a drinks reception or a sit down meal. We also have 2 other beautiful areas within our spacious pub offering stunning views of the Stray.
Every Friday is Fizz Friday at The Alexandra. £5 off bottles of Perla Delicata Prosecco and Perla Rosa prosecco. We have live acoustic music between 8pm and 10pm on the last Friday of the month.
Book now for Christmas! If you book before the 1st November you will receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco for each of your guests. Maybe you will go for game and sloe gin rillettes or a classic king prawn cocktail to start? Of course there's turkey but if you feel like going off piste there's also slow braised blade of beef and parsnip and cranberry nut roast. You're spoilt for choice for puddings too - well it's not Christmas everyday!
