£20,000 of garden vouchers to be won in Cultivation Street Campaign

14th April 2014

Categories: News

A new nationwide campaign is striving to encourage people to spruce up there front gardens and restore a sense of pride back into the streets of Great Britain. The campaign is fronted by TV gardener David Domoney.

With celebrity judges and great media coverage planned, it’s a great way to get your town on the map! Judges won’t be looking for professional show gardens, just communities that have come together to spruce up their front gardens and make their street a nicer place to live.

Everyone can get involved, get to know their neighbours better, get growing and most importantly have some fun! Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, an enthusiastic amateur or even if you’ve never gardened in your life, judges will be looking for true community pride and spirit to shine through.

There are categories to suit every garden – from best school garden to best WWI poppy display and best makeover, and many more besides. The competition is open to everyone and there are £20,000 worth of vouchers to be won across a range of categories and achievements.

The competition closing date is Monday 25th August, so there’s still plenty of time to get your whole street competition-ready! Grab a spade, rope your neighbours in and get your community gardening! Together, we can bring Britain’s streets back to life through people, plants and pride.

Check out the categories, sign up to receive the newsletter and find out more about the Cultivation Street Campaign on the website here.
