A stronghold of medieval kings, Knaresborough Castle is beautifully set, overlooking the River Nidd.

Explore Knaresborough Castle independently and get a fascinating insight into medieval castle life and Knaresborough’s royal residents.

Visit the Courtroom Museum to discover an original Tudor courtroom and learn more about Knaresborough’s colourful history.

Opening

Tuesday to Sunday: 9.30am to 5pm (last admission: 4:30pm). 
Closes between 12:30pm and 1:15pm

Tuesday to Sunday: 9:30am – 4:30pm (last admission: 4:15pm)
Closures at the following times: 10:30am – 10:45am, 12:30pm – 1:15pm, 3:00pm – 3.15pm.
