Start from Showground Car Park Bewerley HARROGATE North Yorkshire HG3 5HW

Enjoy this local classic of a walk to get a taste of all that the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has to offer.  An easy to follow route that goes from fields to fells to moorland and industrial heritage before gently following a stream back down to Pateley Bridge, this route features a popular section of the Nidderdale Way.  At the furthest point the walk reaches the Prosperous Lead Mines - a fascinating heritage site, once a thriving pocket of industry, now reclaimed by nature.

This traffic-free and dog-friendly route offers a good climb at its start and fantastic views across Nidderdale.  Visit the website for an audio guide to learn more about the points of interest along the route.
