Enjoy a cross-country lap or two on the mountain bike at Swinton Bivouac.  There are 8km of off-road trails, featuring a number of options for riders to enjoy set among the woodland and countryside of the Swinton Estate.

The mountain bike trails offer a choice of green, red and black sections relating the technicality and difficulty of the trails.  The core loop is a family friendly green with the option to include more adventurous fun on the red and black sections.

Swinton Bivouac is situated in a beautiful Yorkshire setting among rolling hills and woodland near Masham and overlooking the Colsterdale reservoirs of Leighton and Roundhill.  The site also includes the local famous folly of the ‘Druids Temple’.  This makes an excellent backdrop to an off-road leg stretch.

The trails at Swinton Bivouac are mostly unsurfaced and shared with other user groups, using natural terrain.  There is a car park and café (limited winter opening) onsite and parking is charged at just £2.  Cycle hire is also available from the Bivouac centre.
