The Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park
Set in the beautiful countryside between Masham and Ripon in North Yorkshire, the award-winning Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park is home to over 85 striking contemporary sculptures, situated within 45 acres of stunning woodland and gardens.
Inspired by the Himalayas, the park is home to over 20,000 plants, including one of the North’s largest collections of rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias. The terrain undulates with steep paths in some areas, meandering through 45 acres of woodlands, gardens, an arboretum, and tranquil lakes with a multitude of wildlife. The unusual microclimate of the valley makes it fertile ground for the rare meconopsis blue poppy.
The sculptures are dotted all around the park, carefully chosen to enhance the surrounding environment with viewing spots and quirky resting places at such as the Pagoda, Norse Hut and Contemplation Circle. All complimented by a Garden Tearoom serving homemade seasonal treats.
Due to the terrain, the grounds are not suitable for people with mobility issues.
